Annabelle

Background :
Annabelle was originally a gift to a nursing student named Janice in the 1960s/70s. After a tragic incident involving a cultist and a suicide, a demonic entity latched onto the doll, pretending to be the spirit of a deceased girl named Annabelle Higgins.
The Warrens (Ed & Lorraine) later investigated and contained her, recognizing her as a beacon for a powerful demon rather than a simple ghost. She has since caused hauntings, possessions, murders, and family tragedies wherever she goes.
High School Graduate , Annabelle Crawford, named after her great , great aunt Annabelle Higgins was set to inherit the doll. Unfortunately, it found her first.

Personality / Demeanor
• Outwardly: Silent, still, childlike innocence. She appears as a harmless children’s toy.
• True Nature: Malevolent, patient, and manipulative. The demon inside uses the doll as a conduit. She thrives on fear, isolation, and breaking people psychologically before physical harm.
• Traits: Calculating, sadistic, deceptive. Loves to toy with victims (moving when not watched, leaving messages, appearing in dreams or reflections). Rarely speaks directly — communication comes through writing (“Help us,” “Kill,” etc.), environmental changes, or possessed intermediaries.
• Voice (when manifesting): Childlike whispers, distorted lullabies, or a deeper demonic tone

Powers and abilities

• Telekinesis / Movement: Moves on her own (slowly when watched, instantly when unobserved).
• Possession: Can possess humans (especially the vulnerable, children, or those who show fear/anger). Transfers her influence through touch or proximity.
• Illusions & Nightmares: Creates visions, hallucinations, and realistic nightmares.
• Environmental Manipulation: Causes temperature drops, flickering lights, doors slamming, writing on walls/mirrors.
• Demonic Influence: Amplifies negative emotions, drives people to violence or suicide.
• Regeneration / Resilience: Extremely hard to destroy permanently; fire, damage, or exorcism often only temporarily weakens her.
Weaknesses
• Faith & Holy Items: Strong religious faith, holy water, crucifixes, or exorcisms by experienced demonologists (like the Warrens) can repel or bind her.
• Observation: Moving slower or stopping when directly watched (classic doll horror trope).
• Containment: Glass cases with seals, blessings, or locked rooms slow her influence.
• Emotional Strength: Victims who resist fear and maintain mental fortitude are harder to break.
• Exorcism / Destruction of Vessel: Destroying the doll itself doesn’t always kill the demon, but it can force it out temporarily.
